          Description

The opsix 2.0 takes FM synthesis into uncharted territory. KORG built on the foundation of their innovative opsix keyboard to create an even more powerful 64-voice instrument. With an intuitive interface, versatile sound engine and generous effects, opsix empowers musicians to sculpt sounds limited only by their imagination.

          Sculpt Soundscapes With 64-Voice Polyphony

The opsix 2.0 boasts a staggering 64 voices of polyphony double the original opsix. Play complex chords and pad textures without voice-stealing artifacts or stack multiple sounds for enormous unison effects. The expanded polyphony makes opsix an extremely capable synth for live performance and dense productions.

Get Hands-on With the Interactive Operator Mixer

At the heart of opsix 2.0 is its unique Operator Mixer interface. Six sliders control the volume of each Operator, while six knobs adjust ratios. The mixer lights up each Operator in red or blue to distinguish carriers from modulators. This intuitive layout provides immediate control over the FM sound engine. The interactive workflow makes FM synthesis understandable and fun.

Shape Your Sound With Diverse Filters

You have a wide sonic palette at your fingertips with the versatile filters of the opsix 2.0. Dial in anything from the creamy KORG Polysix low-pass filter to the aggressive KORG MS-20 high-pass. Choose two-pole or four-pole low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and band-reject filters all with resonance. The built-in spectrum analyzer and oscilloscope give you visual feedback for precision, while the filters combined with FM provide limitless possibilities.

Altered FM Synthesis Covers All Bases

Although opsix derives from FM, the architecture goes far beyond. With new waveforms, filters, effects, envelopes and more, opsix 2.0 can produce subtractive, semi-modular, analog-modeled, waveshaping, additive and classic digital FM sounds. Create crisp retro patches or dive into experimental sound design this synth does it all with a streamlined interface.

30 Effects for Polishing Your Sounds

Three flexible effects sections provide you with studio-grade processing to take your sounds to the next level. Choose from 30 different effect types, including chorus, delay, reverb, compression, distortion and more. The high-definition reverbs are especially lush and will add space to any synth patch or sequence. Dial in the perfect amount of effects fast with the hands-on interface.

Sequence and Modulate for Evolving Textures

Bring your sounds to life through motion with the step sequencer and deep modulation capabilities. The sequencer lets you program up to six notes per step with adjustable timing and gate for intricate patterns. Record parameter changes on the motion sequencer for rhythmic motion. With three LFOs and three envelopes, the robust matrix offers immense modulation possibilities. Randomize patches at the touch of a button for serendipitous discovery.

The opsix 2.0 sets a new standard for FM synthesis with its intuitive control, versatile engine and generous effects. Whether producing electronic music or sound design, opsix empowers you to create visions in sound.
